How to create a deal

There are three ways to create a deal: from the deals list page, an email suggestion card, or the email shortcut menu. Each entry point opens the same deal creation modal. Deal creation is simple and fast, it should take you less than 1 minute.

How to create a deal

1. Click the Deals icon in the left sidebar

2. Select New Deal in the top right

3. Enter the property address

4. Name the deal - Tract will autofill name based on address

5. Set the deal side (Buyer or Seller)

6. Add contacts for parties involved

7. Click Create Deal

Your deal page is now live and ready to receive emails, documents, and milestones.

Naming your deal

Tract will autofill the deal name input based on the property address. The name field can be modified to fit your preference. We've found keeping this named based on the address works best. This is how Tract identifies related emails and how you'll search for the deal later. Consistent naming across your deals makes everything easier to find.

Modify deal details

After creating a deal any of the creation details can be modified. From the deal page navigate to the top right of the page to find the three dots menu and click edit deal. From this popup you can modify property address, name, price and status.

Creating a deal from an email

If an email arrives about a property before you've created a deal for it, you can create the deal directly from the email thread. Open the email and navigate to the bottom of the right side menu to find the create deal option or find it in the shortcuts list. Create the deal from the module. The deal is created and the email is linked in one step.
